The Willie Fund is Benefactor of the 51st Annual Falmouth Road Race, raising over $27,000.
The Willie Fund celebrates its first official year as a part of the Falmouth Road Race as a Beneficiary sponsor. While not an official “Numbers for Nonprofit” charity team, we were able to be a part of this special event and had 33 runners on our team, “Running for Willie”.
Not only were they running, but they were fundraising! Our runners raised over $27,000! The funds raised by our dedicated runners goes directly to Mass Eye & Ear, part of Mass General Brigham hospital in Boston to help support the research and fight for a cure of Head & Neck Cancer.
The Falmouth Road Race was established in 1973 and has become one of the premier running events of Cape Cod’s summer season. Each year the race draws an international field of Olympians, elite, and recreational runners out to enjoy the iconic 7-mile seaside course.
The Willie Fund is honored to have been a Benefactor of the 51st Annual Falmouth Road Race. We are so proud of our runners and cannot wait to become a part of their non-profit program next year, where we will run and fundraise as an official charity team of Falmouth Road Race.
